Toyota Reports Record Sales in September
The automaker said it had its highest-ever monthly deliveries at 23,590 units.

Toyota Motor said its September sales were its highest-ever monthly sales at 23,590 units, up 3% month-over-month.
The Japanese automaker also reported selling over 7.5 million vehicles during the first nine months of the year, domestic sales up 20.5% year-over-year. It reported sales in the U.S. and Europe rose 14% and 18.1%, respectively.
The automaker produced 7.4 million vehicles worldwide in September, up 10% year-over-year. It produced 2.5 million units in Japan and 4.9 million units outside of its home country.
Its exports totaled 1.4 million units, up 13% year-over-year.
Sales and production increased in the first half of fiscal year 2024 because of improved semiconductor supply and fewer COVID-19 restrictions compared a year earlier, the company reported.
From April to September, Toyota Motor saw a 9% increase in sales to 5.2 million vehicles worldwide. Production also increased to 5.1 million vehicles.
Toyota Motor reported a 24% increase in exports in the fiscal year to 1.02 million vehicles.
