General Motors is warning owners of 2003 and 2004 Pontiac Vibes to keep them parked due to an air bag inflation issue, according to GM Authority.
The publication, which covers the Detroit automaker, said GM issued a do-not-drive warning to owners. It said the front passenger air bag is defective and could cause injury in the event of a crash.
No recall notice is currently listed on the website of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which regulates automotive safety issues.
GM Authority reported that General Motors is urging owners to take in their Vibes to GM dealers for repair as soon as possible. The company will make repairs free of charge to resolve the air bag issue.
