Every agent has experienced manufacturer manipulation that favors branded products, lender incentives and practices that box dealers in to promote their product lineup, plus the issue of "Provider Agent Bypass." There is no better legal team than Bartle and Marcus to address these three critical issues that impact our business. Be informed – Practices affecting your business may not be legal!
"Vendors are developing direct-to-dealer sales channels to compete with agents and ever more aggressive private label products with pricing or feature enhancements. Dealers are combining and using their market power to cut out agents or drive down profit margins. The manufacturers are creating barriers that favor their own products and make independent products harder and more expensive to sell," said Bartle and Marcus. "At the upcoming Agent Summit, we will be discussing the legal implications of this rapidly changing marketplace and how you can put your agency in the best position."
Matt Bartle has been practicing law since 1990. After spending 15 years defending large and small companies while working for national defense firms, Matt decided to open his own law firm with David Marcus in 2005. Since then, Matt has been representing entrepreneurs and business owners who have business disputes with other businesses, primarily on a contingency fee basis. Matt also represents businesses and individuals who have suffered investment losses.
David Marcus has served as lead counsel in numerous jury trials, helping to safeguard the rights of individuals and small business owners all across the country. During the height of the pandemic, in a products liability case involving defective home exercise equipment, he obtained a jury verdict that was more than double the amount of the last pre-trial settlement offer. He successfully negotiated a seven-figure settlement in a legal malpractice case without filing suit. He has handled multiple intellectual property disputes, including cases involving alleged patent infringement and copyright infringement.
The Agent Summit room block is available for reservations and will remain in effect until Aug. 6 or until the block is full.
