LAS VEGAS – Organizers of Agent Summit 2026 announced that Laurie Bizzell and Ian Osler of MarksNelson will present, “Maximizing Cash While Minimizing Your Tax Risk” at the event, taking place April 13–15 at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas.
“This session explores the income tax consequences of the various dealer participation structures available in the market including, but not limited to, reinsurance, retro commissions, and retail accounting. Ian Osler uses the insurance industry expertise he has built through more than a decade of experience to help clients with various consulting needs, assurance support, and compliance projects. He helps clients find solutions to their challenges and pain points while creating sustainable outcomes. Clients appreciate his solution-oriented approach combined with the deep insights he brings to the table. Before joining MarksNelson, he was a senior manager at PwC.
Laurie Bizzell is a partner in MarksNelson’s Insurance Tax Practice. Laurie has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, providing tax consulting and compliance services to U.S. and foreign insurance companies, offshore investment companies and multinational clients. Her broad experience includes working with the insurance and international tax issues of offshore reinsurers and alternative market structures, including captive insurance companies and segregated accounts companies. Prior to joining MarksNelson, Laurie worked at Bennett Thrasher in Atlanta, KPMG in New York and PricewaterhouseCoopers’ in both New York and Bermuda.
