In the ever-changing retail automotive landscape, it is vital to ensure that a dealer’s participation structure is evaluated to provide continuing alignment with their evolving financial and strategic objectives. Presented by GPW & Associate's Brandon Wesley and Jeremy Elsberry, this session will dive into key differences between participation models and explore critical factors for consideration in choosing the best fit for your client. The session will also assist in diagnosing when the existing model is no longer the most compatible structure and how to position for the future.
Wesley and Elsberry added that, "choosing a participation structure isn’t a one-time decision, nor is it a one-size-fits-all. Picking the right dealer participation structure should be an ongoing conversation that includes the dealer and considers their evolving financial and strategic objectives"
Brandon Wesley joined GPWA in 2025 as a Director of Business Development and has 16 years of experience in finance and insurance industries. Prior to joining GPWA, Brandon oversaw all reinsurance program development and operations at Toyota Financial Services, primarily servicing 831b captives and non-controlled foreign corporations. Brandon holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
Jeremy Elsberry, CPA, is Director - Business Development. He began his career in public accounting focused on personal and corporate taxation. In 2012, Jeremy joined GPWA, bringing with him years of management experience. He has spent more than 11 years working with F&I reinsurance and captive insurance programs. Jeremy’s fields of expertise include insurance company accounting, captive insurance management, formation, regulatory filings, and taxation and tax planning for insurance companies.
