Cal-Tex Hires Akard As Senior Director of Market Development
Cal-Tex Protective Coatings Inc. hired Tim Akard as senior director of market development. He is a former Ford dealer and past member of the Ford National Dealer Council, and comes to Cal-Tex as an active, licensed insurance agent, who has specialized in developing and administering self-insured programs for individual dealerships and large dealership groups. Since 2008, he has managed the TADA (Texas Auto Dealers Association) Self Insurance Group, a self-funded worker’s compensation group owned by Texas dealers.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to join a company with a well-defined culture and double digit growth," said Akard. "I’m looking forward to making a contribution to the future strategic goals of Cal-Tex.”
