Barrett Rejoins Resource Automotive in Reinsurance Role
CHICAGO – Resource Automotive, Inc., a unit of The Warranty Group, Inc., announced Steve Barrett has joined the company as executive vice president, with responsibility for automotive reinsurance.
Previously an executive with the company, Barrett joined Resource in 1980 as a finance and insurance specialist, moving through several positions before becoming senior vice president reinsurance. He quickly became known as a thought leader in the industry and has become recognized internationally as an expert in the creation and management of domestic and off-‐ shore reinsurance entities for automotive dealers.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Steve back to the company,” said Charlie Robinson, President and COO of Resource. “No one else in the business has the experience, track record and insight into every aspect of reinsurance that Steve possesses. He is a great asset to our company and our clients.”
Barrett is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, a certified public accountant and licensed securities principal.
