The Dick Smith Automotive Group started as a single dealership in 1961 and grew into a multirooftop group now led by the founder’s son Brian Smith. Smith said he's looking to reduce his day-to-day responsibilities while remaining active in the industry through the group’s remaining dealership, Dick Smith Ford.

Holler-Classic Automotive got its start in 1938 in Florida and remains a multigenerational auto group with Roger Holler III as president. With the acquisition, the group will have over 17 rooftops and its first in South Carolina.

Performance Brokerage Services represented the sell-side of the acquisition, its second time working with Dick Smith.
