Auto Group Acquires Third Nissan Rooftop
Iowa-based Coleman Automotive Group recently acquired its seventh dealership, McGrath Nissan, which it renamed Nissan of Elgin.

Coleman Automotive Group acquired its third Nissan franchise, McGrath Nissan in Elgin, Ill.
Founded by Scott McGrath in 1990 in the Elgin Auto Mall in northwest Chicago, it will remain at its current location and operate as Nissan of Elgin.
McGrath sold his sole store, represented by Performance Brokerage Services, as he prepared for retirement.
“Scott dedicated years of hard work and passion to building his business, and we were honored to help guide him through this important transition," Performance Brokerage partner Jamie Farley said. "We wish him continued success and all the best in the next chapter ahead.”
Coleman Automotive was founded in 2024 by Kyle Coleman, who has over 20 years of automotive retail experience. The recent transaction marks the Iowa-based group’s seventh dealership acquisition, and it now has rooftops in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Iowa.
