ORLANDO, Fla. — Organizers of the annual P&A Leadership Summit announced that Chip Perry, president and CEO of TrueCar, will deliver the luncheon keynote address at this year’s event. The conference, which is designed by and for leading executives in the F&I product provider and administrator segment, is co-located with Industry Summit and will be held Oct. 8–10 at the Caribe Royale Orlando in Orlando, Fla.
Perry’s address, “The Future of Transparency,” will begin at 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9. He pledged to track the evolution and effects of transparency on the auto retail and finance industry and share insights to help dealers and product providers compete in a more transparent market without sacrificing efficiency or profitability.
“The demand for transparency in automotive retail continues to evolve and dealers that embrace and leverage transparency throughout the process will win today’s digital consumers,” Perry said.
Perry’s 20-year automotive industry career began with the 1997 launch of Autotrader, where he was the company’s first employee and CEO until 2013. He joined TrueCar in 2015, replacing founder Scott Painter as CEO, after serving as president and CEO of RentPath LLC, the parent company of ApartmentGuide.com and Rent.com.
“Transparency is among the forces driving the present and future of our industry, as it should be,” said David Trinder, CEO of F&I Administration Solutions and chair of the PALS advisory board. “With a track record of success through times of sweeping change, Chip Perry brings a great deal of gravitas to our stage, and we anticipate a highly insightful and memorable address.”
