Save the Date for Texas Compliance Summit
AUSTIN, Texas — Organizers of Compliance Summit have announced that the next event will be held Nov. 16–17, 2015, at the Hilton Austin Airport Hotel in Austin, Texas. It will be the third in a series that began in Miami last November and continued in Chicago in April.
“We could think of no other place we would rather take Compliance Summit than the Great State of Texas,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Auto Dealer Monthly and F&I and Showroom magazines. “If Texas dealers are as dedicated to front-end compliance as the folks we met in Miami and Chicago, this will be the biggest event in the series.”
The educational slate at the Florida and Midwest conferences included featured presentations and panel discussions on national and region-specific compliance topics, including threats and actions leveled by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as well as state attorneys general, legislators and consumer groups.
Speakers included dealership personnel, attorneys, compliance experts and the directors of a state dealer association and a Better Business Bureau chapter. Each session was punctuated or followed by questions from and discussions among attendees in the crowd.
“The dealers, compliance officers and managers who have attended Compliance Summit have all said they were there for one reason: to learn what the CFPB and other regulators are up to and what’s going to happen next,” Gesualdo said. “They left with the information they needed to put a plan in place to protect their dealerships and their customers.”
Registration for Texas Compliance Summit will open this summer. Further details will become available in the weeks ahead. For sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, contact Eric Gesualdo via email or call 727-612-8826.
