LAS VEGAS — Organizers of the annual Agent Summit have announced that the Participation & Reinsurance Symposium will return for a second year in 2014. This year’s event will feature a new format designed to give agents a comprehensive review of reinsurance and put them in direct contact with leaders in the segment.
The symposium is scheduled for Monday, March 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., including a luncheon session. It will conclude shortly as the first session for Agent Summit begins.
“For our second year, the goal is to provide all the knowledge an agent needs to go home, meet with their dealer clients and help them make informed decisions,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Agent Entrepreneur and F&I and Showroom. “We believe agents are going to take reinsurance to the next level and grow their own businesses in the process. This is where it all begins.”
The 2013 Participation & Reinsurance Symposium drew a standing room-only crowd and featured four speakers, each of whom addressed one or more types of reinsurance. The 2014 edition will cover the competitive essentials of the segment in three, hour-long sessions.
After a brief networking break, agents will reconvene for the final session featuring speakers from Allstate Dealer Services, GSFSGroup, Portfolio, Protective Asset Protection, SouthwestRe, United States Warranty Corp., and The Warranty Group. This “Reinsurance Roundtable” will afford each speaker a brief opportunity to discuss their company’s specialties and how they work with agents to bring reinsurance to dealers.
Following the final session, the luncheon will give the attendees the opportunity to follow up with each of the roundtable speakers. Gesualdo said the format is intended to allow agents to fill in any gaps left by the earlier sessions and initiate a discourse with potential partners.
“To put a fine point on this special morning session: If you want to be informed as to the latest tools and strategies available to you and the inside skinny on where to attack the direct marketing programs, be ready to take notes and go sign some deals!” said Randy Crisorio, head of the Agent Summit advisory board.
Agent attendees can attend the 2014 Participation and Reinsurance Symposium for no additional charge. The symposium is sponsored by Allstate Dealer Services, CNA National Warranty Corp., Delaware Tribal Financial Services, GSFS Group, Portfolio, Protective Asset Protection, SouthwestRe, United States Warranty Corp. and The Warranty Group.
