A global light-vehicle production outlook is up this month by about 180,000 units to 91.5 million for the year.

The AutoForecast Solutions projection has production up in all regions except western Europe, which it revised down about 20,000 units, largely due to a reduced estimate for Germany.

North American production was stable in the quarter, according to the forecast, up 2% year-over-year to 16 million for the year.

It estimated Jeep maker Stellantis’ North American production is down 22,000 units due to reduced full-size Ram truck and Jeep Wrangler production that has been partly balanced by more Jeep Compass output.

The forecast puts Asia-Pacific production up 70,000 units to 52.24 million on the strength of output in India, whose forecast rose 100,000 units over the April estimate.
