During this session, NADA's senior vice president of regulatory affairs will address the important compliance challenges of the day. At every turn, new governmental and media challenges emerge to optional dealer financing and voluntary protection products. Metrey will critique the critiques and will explain how dealers can improve the customer experience and stay within the lanes of compliant application.

Paul D. Metrey is the Senior Vice President, Regulatory Affairs for the National Automobile Dealers Association. In this capacity, he directs a team of attorneys who represent dealer interests before, and educate dealers on regulations promulgated by, federal executive branch agencies that oversee dealer operations. Metrey is the author and editor of numerous NADA publications, including the NADA/NAMAD/AIADA Model Dealership Voluntary Protection Products Policy and the NADA/NAMAD/AIADA Fair Credit Compliance Policy & Program. He frequently speaks to dealers, Automotive Trade Association Executives, dealership compliance professionals, and other industry groups on an array of regulatory topics. Metrey is active in several professional organizations and serves on the Governing Committee of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law.

"Have you been reading the bold print? The CFPB is back with new energies and ties to the FTC and State Attorneys General," said Brown & Brown Dealer Services' Randy Crisorio, Agent Summit advisory board chair. "Do you have any dealership players that cross the line?  Paul Metrey of NADA is back with the details and a warning."
