DealershipLogic Launches Vehicle Prep Solution, Seeks Agents
CINCINNATI, Ohio — Dealer software provider DealershipLogic has announced the launch of a new vehicle prep workflow that provides real-time status updates to multiple departments. The company’s national accounts manager, Karl Bogard, said the solution was designed to allow dealers to speed the process of identifying, tracking and preparing vehicles for market.
“My experience is in Six Sigma process solutions, inventory management and operational excellence,” Bogard said. “We simply listened to dealers and identified their obstacles regarding their day-to-day frustrations in getting their new and pre-owned vehicles prepped to market.”
DealershipLogic’s workflow utilizes a task-based communication tool that provides reports and instructions via text alerts to on- and off-site support personnel, including UCMs, service, detail and body shop personnel, photographers and others more.
Bogard said his objective was to diminish the direct and indirect costs generated by delays inherent to the vehicle prep process. “Everyone is busy and communication is not always easy or reliable. [With our system,] even external vendors — who typically have to wait hours or days to get notifications through the normal channels — are getting notified immediately with no human effort. Dealers can’t believe how fast and easy their vehicles are getting prepped, and we are very proud to be first to provide this solution the automotive industry.”
The new system can be customized to fit existing processes and also tracks inventory turns, traceability and communications between departments. Bogard said the company is currently seeking agents in most U.S. territories and is hosting free web demos for interested agents and dealers.
