SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.— Chad Royston has joined the CNA National team as its vice president of income development and training.
Royston began his career in the automotive industry as a porter and detailer working his way up the chain through sales and finance to eventually become dealer and owner. For 20 years, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of a four-rooftop dealership with five franchises and over 120 employees. Upon selling his stores, he joined the National Automobile Dealers Association as a lead instructor for their Academy and spearheading the education of its 20 Group moderators.
“I firmly believe the addition of Chad will further enhance our ability to add more value to our agent partners by helping us take our income development and dealership training efforts to an even higher level,” said Jeff Weston, chief revenue officer for CNA National.
In his new role, Royston will lead the team that helps dealerships nationwide to generate the F&I income that is critical to their bottom line. This comprises implementing programs, processes and materials to improve the performance of individual F&I managers while increasing customer satisfaction and retention.
“As I return to the private sector, I’m thrilled to be joining such a reputable organization in the F&I space,” said Royston. “I look forward to using my knowledge and experience in dealership operations and training to advance both CNA National’s goals, as well as that of their agents and dealers.”
Royston is a graduate of the National Automobile Dealer Academy and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, Tenn. Automotive News named him a “40 under 40” award winner in 2006 and a Rising Star nominee in 2017 and 2018.
