Serra Automotive, headquartered in Fenton, Mich., sold its Serra Chevrolet Bartlett location in Bartlett, Tenn., to Springhill Automotive Group. The store has been renamed Dobbs Brothers Chevrolet of Bartlett.

Springhill Automotive, based in Mobile, Ala., has operated in the southeastern U.S. for more than 26 years and operates seven dealerships across Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. The Dobbs family has a long dealership history in Memphis, Tenn., dating back to 1921.

“The Dobbs name means a lot in this area,” said dealer principal Tal Vickers. “People in our communities know that when they hear the name Dobbs, they are hearing reliability, trustworthiness, and an answer to their automotive needs. We’re excited to bring the Dobbs name back to a community that means so much to me and my family.”

Serra Automotive operates 62 dealerships across seven states, representing 27 brands nationwide. National Business Brokers (NBB) facilitated the sale for it.

“I’ve known Joe Serra for some time and made sure he knew I was interested if he ever chose to make a move with the Bartlett store,” Vickers said. “Joe and Matt Serra run an exceptional organization, and we were thrilled when the NBB team reached out to present the opportunity.”
