SUVs Probed Over Seat Belt Failure
NHTSA has gotten dozens of complaints about them opening on their own.
The NHTSA is investigating 2020 to 2023 models of the Palisade to determine the scope of the seat belt issue.

Some Hyundai Palisades’ seat belts can unlatch on their own, moving a regulatory agency to open an investigation due to the risk of injury.
More than 330,000 units of the SUV’s 2020 to 2023 model years are at issue.
The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration said it’s gotten nearly 40 reports of the seat belt unlatchings that happen sometimes and without warning. It’s opened a preliminary probe to determine how widespread the problem may be.
