Trucks Recalled to Remedy Part Problem
Preproduction error led to damage that compromises stability, risks crash.
Chrysler estimates that just 1% of 2025 Ram 1500s have the part defect.

Nearly 34,000 brand-new Ram 1500 pickups have been recalled over a issue that increases crash risk.
Stellantis-owned Chrysler said the trucks’ electronic stability control system could fail because the front wheel hub encoder rings could be damaged, causing loss of wheel speed signal, thereby disabling the stability control.
It estimates that just 1% of the recalled trucks have the defect, but dealers will inspect the vehicles and replace the hub assembly is needed. A part-handling error began in October 2023 that led to the hub ring damage, and ended this past August, Chrysler reported.
Chrysler is scheduled to mail recall notices to owners on Dec. 19.
