LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Reinsurance provider Portfolio has been voted for the 12th consecutive year as a top provider in the Service Contract Reinsurance category in the annual Dealers’ Choice Awards, a program based on a national survey of dealers and dealership personnel. Portfolio earned this year’s Diamond award, its fifth first-place finish in the past six years. The program is sponsored by Auto Dealer Today magazine.

“We are honored that our dealers and their staffs have again voted us No. 1,” said Brent Griggs, president and CEO. “We bring something a bit different, and I believe better, to reinsurance and to the dealerships we serve, so this award tells us we are doing it right. On behalf of Portfolio, I thank all our clients who voted for us.”

CSO Dan Haugen added, “This award is shared with our independent agents, Managing Directors, and Reinsurance Specialists in the field along with our office staffs in California and Texas. They interact with our dealer clients every week and I know that the Portfolio experience they deliver is a huge reason for our continuing success in the annual Dealers’ Choice Awards. My thanks and congratulations go out to all of them too.”

The survey was conducted over four weeks in May in an audited process where thousands of dealer principals and other dealership personnel scored their satisfaction with product and service providers in 35 categories. Survey respondents were asked to cast votes only for providers with which they have firsthand knowledge and experience, in at least five categories.

The complete results and analysis will be featured in the Q4 issue of ADT. The complete list of winners can be found here. All award winners will be honored this year at Industry Summit, set for Nov. 4–6, 2019, in New Orleans.
