Cleveland Christian Home (CCH) celebrated its Homecoming with an Awards Luncheon and Open House event on Saturday, October 3, 2015.
Many of CCH’s warm-hearted supporters braved the cool and rainy morning to help celebrate a few of its special friends and generous donors with an honorary luncheon. Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the CCH Residential Treatment Center. The day’s theme, You’ll Never Walk Alone, served as a reminder to the children and families helped by Cleveland Christian Home that there are many people who care about them and will work together to spread hope and healing.
Among the deserved honorees was National Automotive Experts, Strongsville, OH who received the Invest in Children Award.
National Automotive Experts (NAE) is a shining star, not only to its dealers and agents but to the children and families whose lives they change by supporting Cleveland Christian Home. Kelly Price, Founder and President and her fantastic team of employees and associates have developed amazing relationships with each other, and in 2007, NAE adopted Cleveland Christian Home with an enthusiasm that is contagious.
The creative ways they bring awareness of CCH’s mission and raise much needed funds to care for others is inspiring. If you look at their website, there is an entire page dedicated to the work they do to make a difference in the their community.
The NAE, their families and even their church groups, now staff CCH’s Santa’s workshop every weekend in December leading up to Christmas. They organize the space, wrap presents, write tags, create spreadsheets, and spread more cheer than they could possibly know. That first Saturday is really special, because it is the day of NAE’s annual holiday party. Staff from across the country—from Nebraska to Texas, Oklahoma to Pennsylvania, and (of course) Ohio spend their day volunteering in Santa’s Workshop. This is just the start of their holiday rush and rally to make sure that each and every child CCH serves gets their hearts desire on Christmas morning!
NAE has also been the Presenting Sponsor of the CCH 5K Run and Walk for the Kids event at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo since 2012. In addition to the sponsorship, the compassionate and caring crew goes ‘all out’ to participate and contribute to the event’s success.
