LAS VEGAS - Organizers of Agent Summit 2014 announced that Glen Tuscan, president of Dealer Commitment Services and Doug Herberger, president of Allstate Dealer Services, were chosen as keynote speakers. Tuscan will open the conference on Monday, March 9 when he speaks at 1:40 p.m., immediately following the Pre-Conference Participation and Reinsurance Symposium. On Tuesday, March 10 at 9:10 a.m., Herberger will be delivering the keynote immediately after breakfast.

“I am very pleased that both Doug and Glen accepted our invitation to speak to our agent body,” said Randy Crisorio, advisory board chair. “They are both highly experienced industry heavy weights, and their topical themes are perfect mates for our Summit.”

Tuscan, a 32 year veteran of the automotive industry, said independent agents are always facing the challenge of competing with large, direct providers of F&I products. “These companies spend millions of dollars per month trying to eliminate our existence. Not only has the Independent Agencies Network taken on this challenge-it has thrived and survived in the post recession era.” Glen said he is excited to have been granted the opportunity to be part of the 2014 Agent Summit as its keynote speaker. His topic will be “Underdog Independent Agents Survive and Thrive in 2014.”

Herberger worked with General Motors for more than 35 years in a number of leadership roles before joining Allstate Services as president in 2011. Overall, he brings four decades of industry experience and expertise to the conference.

“I am honored to have been asked to be the keynote speaker for the 2014 Agent Summit,” Herberger said. “Our business model places a very high value on the relationships we have with our B2B distribution partners, including the agents who have helped us grow our portfolio of Allstate-branded F&I products. They have been an integral part of our value proposition as the stewards for high standards and innovative thinking. I am looking forward to seeing many of them at the Summit, and sharing their story with the other distinguished guests who will be attending.” Herberger’s keynote speech is entitled, “The Anatomy of a Turnaround and Sustainability”.

The fourth annual Agent Summit is scheduled for March 10-12 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
