LONGWOOD, Fla. ― In an effort to help Seminole County Deputies avoid contact with the potentially lethal coronavirus, Parks Lincoln is now carefully treating all of the vehicles they repair and maintain for the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office with an EPA recommended disinfectant. In addition, the Longwood dealership is providing the Sheriff’s Office with hundreds of bottles of hand sanitizer for distribution to the department’s workforce.
Making their cars as safe as humanly possible is, absolutely, the right and responsible thing to do.
Having serviced the Sheriff’s Office fleet for almost 20 years, Parks Lincoln expressed concern about maintaining timely delivery of critical vehicles given the extra manpower and effort required to sanitize them. But, despite those initial concerns, delivery has remained on schedule and the Sheriff’s vehicles are promptly back on the street where they are needed.
When asked about the new service, Randy Parks, Chairman of Parks Motor Group responded: “Never let it be forgotten, the heroes with our sheriff’s office act as that last line of defense between a law abiding and a crime-ridden community.
Don Kitchens, Parks Lincoln GM, stressed that “the same careful treatment is extended to all our customers. Complimentary sanitizing has been added to the list of tasks that absolutely must be completed before any vehicle sold or serviced by Parks Lincoln leaves our lot.”
In addition to the sanitizing of individual vehicles Parks Lincoln is taking the following measures to safeguard customer and employee health during the current coronavirus crisis:
Thorough cleaning of all dealership facilities daily
Sanitizing gel and foam stations available on-site
Providing staff with specific instructions on hand washing and the importance of staying home if they are not feeling well
Adhering to the recommended six feet of social distance from other staff and customers
