On Wednesday, Sept. 1 Agent Summit switches gear and dedicates the event's final day to the trends and challenges facing the reinsurance arena. Attendees are invited to join us for the following presentations:

  • Risks & Rewards: Non-Controlled Foreign Corporations: A Tag-Team Presentation

    • This session seeks to clarify the clouds of regulation and the real impact on taxation of offshore reserves held by each shareholder. This is a must attend segment for a clear view, and 10-15 minutes will be offered for Q&A.

      • Laurie Bizzell, Bennett Thrasher LLP

      • David Kaseff, Marks Nelson LLC

  • Dealer Owned Warranty Companies: A Featured Presentation

    • Question: Are DOWCs all that they’re cracked up to be? Petrowski will drill down to evaluate the ins-and-outs of this structure, and feature some comparisons to other earning opportunities, including RETRO, CFCs and NCFCs.

      • Greg Petrowski, GPW and Associates

  • The Expansion of Reinsurance Domiciles: A Panel Discussion

    • We have seen our most important marketing tool, Reinsurance, advance in opportunity as domiciles have opened in locations that many of us know little about. This segment of expert panelists will appear to tout the highlights of their program and inform the agent body at large of the opportunities available offshore, onshore and a variety of tribal offerings.

    • MODERATOR: Brian Feldman, ECP Inc.

    • PANELISTS:

      • Greg Arnold, Esq., Tribal Association of Insurance Commissioners International

      • Allan Barnes, The Tribal Domicile of the Delaware Tribe of Indians

      • John Kerper, Kerper and Bowron LLC

      • Niguel Streete, Turks and Caicos Islands Financial Services Commission
