LAS VEGAS — Attendees of the upcoming Agent Summit are abuzz over the event’s keynote addresses, organizers reported. AUL President and CEO Jimmy Atkinson and nationally recognized motivational speaker Rory Vaden will speak at the event, which will be held May 20–23, 2018, at the Venetian & Palazzo Resort Hotel Casinos in Las Vegas.

Atkinson will deliver “Automotive F&I 2018: The State of Our Industry” at 12:45 p.m. on Monday, May 21. The 50-minute speech will address a number of topics of interest to automotive general agents and agent principals, including the trend toward consolidation and new, disruptive technology and ownership models.

Vaden will kick off Tuesday’s schedule with “How to Multiply Your Time” at 9:10 a.m. Vaden pledged to share strategies and skills top executives use to make and manage time, set priorities, take action when required, and reduce or eliminate work-related stress. The session is based on Vaden’s Ted Talk, which has racked up more than 1 million views. His appearance is sponsored by EasyCare and GWC Warranty, and will be followed by a book signing.

“As industry members, entrepreneurs, and personnel managers, agents need every edge they can find,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Agent Entrepreneur and F&I and Showroom magazines. “Jimmy Atkinson and Rory Vaden offer an incredibly intriguing and valuable combination, and they will enjoy our rapt attention.”
