LAS VEGAS — John Kerper, FSA, MAAA, will lead a panel discussion devoted to non-controlled foreign corporations (NCFCs) at Agent Summit’s Reinsurance Symposium, organizers announced Wednesday. The event is scheduled for May 21–24, 2017, at Paris Las Vegas.

Kerper, who serves as a co-owner of Kerper and Bowron, LLC, will lead a panel comprised of Brian Feldman, executive vice president of SpencerRe, Resource Agent Group/First Extended’s vice president of sales and marketing, John Luckett, Jay Sharpnack, national sales manager for CNA National Warranty Corp. and GSFSGroup's vice president, Bruce Stricklin.

“It’s an honor to work with such an accomplished and distinguished panel to discuss NCFCs at the Reinsurance Symposium,” Kerper said. “The increased limits for 831b companies in 2017, along with the increased scrutiny of the same from the IRS, provide opposing arguments for dealers who may be interested in using an NCFC, and I am very interested in hearing these experts discuss this and other issues affecting NCFCs.”

The 55-minute session, “NCFCs: Changes, Threats and the Regulatory Horizon,” will begin at 2:20 p.m. on Monday, May 22.

“John has been an ardent supporter of our event and a reliable resource for agents,” said David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Agent Entrepreneur and F&I and Showroom magazines. “We have high expectations for his group, and I anticipate a large and heavily engaged audience.”

Registration for Agent Summit 2017 is open at the event’s website. Attendees who register by April 21 will enjoy a $100 discount. To discuss sponsorship and exhibition opportunities, contact David Gesualdo at 727-947-4027 or via email.
