LAS VEGAS — Organizers of the fourth annual Agent Summit have announced that Doug Herberger, president of Allstate Dealer Services, has agreed to deliver the opening keynote address at the 2014 event.

Agent Summit 2014 is scheduled for March 10–12 and will return to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas again this year. Herberger will present “The Anatomy of a Turnaround and Sustainability” at 9:10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10.

David Gesualdo, show chair and publisher of Agent Entrepreneur and F&I and Showroom, said Herberger’s lengthy résumé and position as head of a major dealer services provider make him an ideal candidate for the speaking engagement.

“Doug brings four decades of industry experience to the table, and he’s the perfect fit for our conference,” Gesualdo said. “We couldn’t have asked for a better, more engaging speaker to help build on the momentum we generated with the first three events.”

Herberger began his career at General Motors in 1973 and remained with the company until 2009. He held a number of leadership positions, which included such diverse assignments as CFO, vice president and general manager of GM Service and Parts Operations, general director of AC Delco and chairman and CEO of General Motors Japan. In 2011, after a brief retirement, he joined Allstate Dealer Services as president.

“I am honored to have been asked to be the keynote speaker for the 2014 Agent Summit,” Herberger said. “Our business model places a very high value on the relationships we have with our B2B distribution partners, including the agents who have helped us grow our portfolio of Allstate-branded F&I products. They have been an integral part of our value proposition as the stewards for high standards and innovative thinking. I am looking forward to seeing many of them at the Summit and sharing their story with the other distinguished guests who will be attending.”
